Modern Eclectic Gender Neutral Nursery

As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of being a mom. And ever since the day I found out I was pregnant, I dreamed up this little room. Interior design has always been something I enjoy, but for the first 2.5 years of marriage we rented so I didn't necessarily have the chance to put much effort into designing our space. Owning a home and finally getting the chance to make something ours has brought out my love for design even more. A lot of time, thought and bargain hunting went into making this space exactly what I envisioned. I scoured pinterest, instagram and blogs to get a sense of what I loved and then slowly started saving bits and pieces to a bookmark folder on my laptop and patiently waiting for them to go on sale. Luckily, my tactic worked and we were able to do the entire room relatively inexpensively. [All items are linked at the bottom of the post].

I wanted Hayes to grow up in a space that was bright and happy, eclectic and fun, but one that was also able to grow with him. Or even be used for a baby girl in the future. I am a lover of all things neutral, white/gray, and clean lines. So with this space, I challenged myself to mix patterns, textures, and colors in a way that created a fun, eclectic style but in a way that wasn't overstimulating.

Mood board with all the pieces that I was eyeing to make sure everything went together and captured what I was envisioning for the vibe of the room.

I might be alone in this, but I have a strange obsession with before and afters!
